MTV Visits Kiss xx Bridal Wear Shop in Staffordshire

Jade, the local lass, turned “Sweet 16” on December 07, and the team of MTV’s hit show, My Super Sweet 16, was with her to document the coming-of-age celebrations.

The detailed planning, shopping for a perfect dress, disappointment, tears, surprises, smiles, laughter, gasps, screams, and the fairytale ending … Jade’s “The Day” celebrations had it all.

We at Kiss xx were part of this elaborate and lavish celebration, as Jade picked her ball gown from our bridal boutique. The MTV team was at our shop for a whole day, filming, capturing the moments and we tried our best to keep things smooth.  

The team arrived long before Jade and filmed inside and outside the shop with us trying our best not to come in front of the camera. When Jade arrived with her family, it was action time and the cameras started rolling for real.

Jade tried on many dresses and liked most of them, but the moment she laid her eyes on a beautiful American tulle dress (Mori Lee), she fell in love with it.

The shimmering, feminine dress had a boned, fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline; the bodice lavishly sprinkled with silver sequins as was the multi-layered skirt of pale blue tulle. 

Jade had chosen a Silver & White Masked Ball for the theme of her birthday and together with her boyfriend, arrived on the night in Jordan and Peter Andre’s Glass Carriage.  The modern day Cinderella was

The party was a happening one, full of fun and frolic. All her friends were there to wish her well, a popular DJ was there to play the music, and she was escorted by two bare-chested brawny angels.

Jade sparkled and just when she thought the day was going to end without a little something from her Dad … he pulled out a key.  Her friends whispered, ‘Jade’s got a car!  She is one lucky girl’.

The fairytale evening ended with a dreamy kiss from her boyfriend on the way home.

Jade had a day that all of us dream of but only few are privileged to live it.
